Tunisia’s ruling Islamist party, Ennahda, and opposition groups have agreed on a deal to create a new temporary technocratic government. Ennahda agreed that its coalition would resign after weeks of negotiations. New elections will likely be held in the spring. Divisions between Islamists and their secular opponents have deepened since two opposition leaders were murdered during the last year.
