Lawmakers in Springfield are back in session this week and there are a lot of big ticket items on the agenda before they adjourn again at the end of the month.

Legalizing recreational marijuana, the governor’s proposal for a graduated income tax, sports betting and a couple of tax ideas are all expected to come up this session. Oh, and lawmakers also have that pesky state budget to pass.

WBEZ state politics reporter Dave McKinney breaks down what legislators will try to squeeze in during the next month.
