Governments and private organizations alike have long talked about traveling to Mars, stepping foot on the Martian surface, even populating it. Currently, there is at least one organization that believes we can be there within the next decade. Mars One, a Dutch nonprofit, will begin taking applications this year from folks who hope to be the Neil Armstrong of the fourth rock from the sun.
