Gov. JB Pritzker signed a new bill into law on Wednesday that would bar employers from asking job applicants about their salary history.
Supporters of the No Salary History law say it will go a long way to closing the wage gap between men and women.
Passed with bipartisan support, the law takes effect in 60 days.
