More and more parents are falling in love with Amazon’s virtual assistant Alexa, that’s the speaker-like device that gives you voice control over almost everything you can think of.

It responds to the name Alexa and you can ask her all sorts of things:  “Alexa, put Cheerios on my shopping list.” “Alexa, turn on NPR.” Or if you need to entertain the kids… “Alexa, play ‘Let it Go’.” Or “Alexa, tell me a joke.” To work, Alexa is recording all the voices in the house. But that’s raising privacy concerns, especially as it relates to kids. Karen Turner, Washington Post technology contributor, joined us for more.
