Employees at a Dr. Pepper Snapple warehouse in suburban Northlake allege they were racially discriminated by supervisors.

The Chicago Tribune reports seven employees, who are black, allege their Hispanic supervisors repeatedly called them “donkey,” “monkey” and the n-word. The workers also allege supervisors intimidated them by following them with sticks toward the end of their shifts. A spokesman for Dr. Pepper Snapple told the Tribune an internal investigation was launched and some employees were fired. But an attorney for the plaintiffs says the company did not act quickly. The workers are asking for a million dollars each in punitive damages.
