The shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson has incited a conversation about the way police evaluate the threat of specific incidents. And while much of this conversation centers on race, there is also concern over how police are trained to identify and confront a person suffering from mental health issues. Community leaders on Tuesday will meet outside of Chicago Police Department headquarters to raise awareness about how police are trained to interact with the mentally ill. Pastor Fred Kinsey of Unity Lutheran Church in Edgewater joins us to talk about the event and this issue. Photo: Flickr/grendelkhan
