Do we all need to stand during the pledge of allegiance? Morton Grove’s Parks commissioner Dan Ashta recently refused, causing a veterans group to withdraw its support for the parks until he does. Where are people still compelled to say the pledge? Why do we say have kids say it every day in school? What do the courts say about this?
