Chicago piano virtuoso Reginald Robinson got the ragtime bug in the 7th grade when he saw a part of Scott Joplin’s famous rag, The Entertainer, played during a school assembly. From there he taught himself piano and in 1994, he won the coveted MacArthur “Genius Grant.” Robinson continues to play and teach. He brings his brand of ragtime to Morning Shift.
