Former Chicago police Commander Glenn Evans spoke out for the first time since he was acquitted of charges that he shoved a gun down a suspect’s throat. Evans is not suing the city of Chicago and the Independent Police Review Authority. WBEZ is also named as a defendant. Community residents praise Evans for being an involved officer who brought down the crime rate in their neighborhoods.
