Two Chicago companies plan to change the way women travel. Google “international volunteer trips” and an almost overwhelming number of options come up, but these trips are often expensive, or planned for very specific dates. After a 9 month trip that included five such experiences, Kathryn Pisco and her husband returned home determined to provide a less expensive, more transparent option for international volunteers. Now, their organization “Unearth the World” is joining the women’s travel network Wanderful on a trip to Peru that’s focused on providing a true cultural dialogue between women. .
