The music festival Riot Fest will have a new home later this summer. After setting up in Humboldt Park on Chicago’s West Side for the past three years, the 26th Ward alderman Roberto Maldonado told organizers they weren’t welcome back. So the music fest and carnival is heading straight south across Interstate 290, to Douglas Park where the Riot Fest Website said the neighborhood is welcoming them with open arms. We talk with 12th Ward alderman George Cardenas about the move to the park in his Ward, and hear from residents about whether they think it’s a good idea for the neighborhood. (Flickr/swimfinfan)
