Sanctuary City Policies In Cook County Are Working: Report

A new report out Tuesday morning from the Migration Policy Institute takes stock of how President Trump’s hardline on immigration is translating into action on the ground. It also analyzes how “sanctuary city” policies, like the ones in the Chicago area, are affecting the number of arrests and deportations of undocumented immigrants.

Morning Shift talks to Randy Capps, director of research for U.S. Programs at MPI and the lead researcher of the report, “Revving Up the Deportation Machinery: Enforcement and Pushback under Trump.”
