In 2011, the Chicago Sun-Times started digging into the case of David Koschman. The 21-year-old died after a night of partying ended with a brawl on Division Street. The punch came from a RJ Venecko, a nephew of former Mayor Richard M. Daley. Chicago Police told Sun-Times reporter Tim Novak that the case was classified as “under investigation.” Three years of reporting later, the search for justice continues, but it re-opened the case and placed more heat on city officials who didn’t push for charges against Venecko. Reporters Tim Novak, Chris Fusco and Carol Marin join us to fill in the details of the case, and what’s next. (Photo: Flickr/Peter Parkes)
