Last year marked the 25th anniversary of the landmark Americans with Disabilities Act. Next year marks the 10th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. 

As much as the disabled community sees these laws and treaties as positive steps, legislating accessibility and disability rights has proven difficult in both the United States and abroad.
