Of course there is no legal school segregation today, but schools in urban districts across the country remain highly segregated. A WBEZ analysis in 2012 found that schools in Chicago are actually slightly more hyper-segregated than they were 20 years ago. Monday, DePaul University is hosting a discussion with Richard Rothstein on why schools remain segregated, and he joins Morning Shift to explain the trend.
