Japan’s Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, has called for early elections. Observers say he wants to solidify power in order to push through policies such as an unpopular tax hike, resuming Japan’s nuclear program and reforming defense policies from World War II. We’ll get some insight into Abe’s strategy from security expert and Japan specialist, Steve Clemons.
