Hillary Clinton’s success as secretary of state has prompted some to wonder if we wouldn’t just be better off with her as president. Comedians Steve Waltien and Kate James (aka everyone’s favorite Drunk Cubs Fan) take a stroll through time, and visit with famous historical women like Abigail Adams, Marie Curie and Susan B. Anthony to explore what they think:

Steve: For those of on the left, it’s been an interesting time. There are some people that are suggesting that maybe Hillary Clinton should challenge Barack Obama for the democratic nomination. And Hillary Clinton is, of course, our Secretary of State, and maybe one of the best Secretary’s of State we’ve ever had. And it may be a moment for those of us on the left to reflect that maybe we missed our moment four years ago to elect a powerful woman president.

And it so happens that I have a friend in town right now who I talk about sometimes with about some of these issues, about women through history, and it seems like an interesting moment to do that…please welcome Dr. Karen Nolten, Phd, activist, historian, curator of one woman shows, and adjunct professor of Women of History in Gender Studies at Columbia College.
