We’ve all been guilty of baking something from a box at one point or another.  I have to admit, I made my fair share of Duncan Hines while in college, and as a result of having kids, I’ve worked from the back of a Nestle’s Tollhouse package on more than one occasion.  But Katrina Markoff is taking the concept of boxed mixes to a new level.  The Founder of Vosges Haut Chocolat has moved way past the exotic truffle part of her business, and has just released a series of exquisite dry mixes for chocolate cakes, chocolate-bacon-chip pancakes, even some serious chocolate chip cookies.  Nothing is artificial, cacao is well into the 70-80% range and all you need to do is add butter or cream in most cases.
