Growing up in India, Dr. Alagappa Rammohan fell in love with reading. Since moving to Chicago in the 1960s, his life has been about education and promoting the language of his childhood, Tamil. A few years ago, he earned his Ph.D at the age of 79.
At the StoryCorps booth in Chicago, he spoke with his daughter, Paru Venkat about why it’s important to him of pass on his love of learning.
