A few months ago, Monica Cortes tracked down Tita Mely, a woman who babysat for her when she was growing up on Chicago’s West Side in the 1980s. Tita Mely and her partner Tita Emma impacted her life in a positive way. At the StoryCorps booth in Chicago, Monica talked with her wife Barb about Tita Melly, who died earlier this week.
