Terry Banies met Darryl Cooke when they both were students at Governors State University. They bonded over their past experiences with incarceration and a shared commitment to healing. 

In December, the two men sat down at the StoryCorps booth in the Chicago Cultural Center to reflect on the challenges of re-entering society after incarceration.
