The life of a rock critic sounds glamorous and fun, filled with late nights at concerts and behind-the-scenes peeks at rock stars. It’s also…late nights and spending time with rock stars. A requirement for any rock critic is a deep love and appreciation for music, and an objectivity to lend an ear to all genres. A recent short documentary profiles the life of one of our favorite critics-Sound Opinions co-host and Chicago Tribune rock critic Greg Kot.
