Only a third of the 1,500 Chicago students in the report said kids in their schools fight a lot.

But Chicago Public Schools picked out the six local institutions that participated.

The agency’s being criticized for choosing schools with high test scores in affluent neighborhoods.

""Certainly there are schools where the results may have been a little bit different, but we are working to address that through our security audits and by getting our experienced, expert principals talking to some principals who need some help,"" he says.

Vaughn adds that some schools are trying new ways to improve student behavior, ranging from after-school programs to student jury systems.“
