Amnesty International estimates that some 4.2 million Syrians have been internally displaced by the ongoing conflict. Many of these families, who have been forced to flee their homes because of the violence, are now living in temporary camps along the Syrian-Turkish border. Lina Sergie Attar is the co-founder of the Karam Foundation. She’s just back from Syria, where she helped run Camp Zeitouna, which offered kids a chance to play soccer, make art and get away from the stress of conflict. She tells ‘Worldview’ about the camp and the country’s ongoing humanitarian crisis. (Photo courtesy of Lina Sergie Attar)
