Street closures and big crowds are expected at the 47th annual pride parade in Chicago Sunday.

While the tone of the pride parade is usually exuberant and festive, this year’s may take on a mournful mood in light of the mass shooting that took place at an LGBTQ nightclub in Orlando earlier this month. Organizers have said there will be a moment of silence before the parade begins at noon to commemorate the 49 people who were killed in Orlando, planned right before the parade’s start.

A press release says “the parade will then proceed, and continue as a celebration of life, love, and pride.” Security is expected to be higher this year, and there are also high fees for having open alcohol containers in public.

The parade is scheduled to start at noon on the corner of Montrose and Broadway, then travel south on Broadway and Halsted to Belmont, where it will turn east back to Broadway, and end on Diversey and Cannon Drive. Expect barricades along the entire route starting at 6 a.m. Sunday.
