Synthetic Pot Kills 3, Hospitalizes More Than 100 People In Illinois

Since early March, three people have died and more than 100 people have been hospitalized in Illinois due to ingesting synthetic marijuana. Illinois has tried to pass laws to ban synthetic marijuana products from being sold, but manufacturers continue to alter the drug’s formula to skirt banning of certain chemicals. Meanwhile, investigators are working to isolate the source or sources of the outbreak. WBEZ reporter Miles Bryan stops by the Morning Shift to break it all down.
