In recent weeks, the Syrian Electronic Army has gotten headlines for its high-profile attacks on media organizations like the Associated Press, the Guardian and NPR. But these attacks are just the latest phase in an electronic war that has run parallel to the brutal war on the ground in Syria. Dlshad Othman is a Syrian Kurd and former IT professional for one of Syria’s major private internet service providers. He now helps the Syrian resistance with web security.
