President Trump’s proposed 2018 budget eliminates funding for the Legal Services Corporation, a nonprofit established by Congress in 1974 to provide funds for civil legal aid to low-income Americans.

But “Legal Answers,” a web portal just introduced in Illinois, helps people connect with lawyers offering pro bono legal advice and representation.
