Chicago drivers might want to pay closer attention to street parking signs tonight.

The city’s winter parking ban goes into effect December 1.

Residents won’t be able to park on restricted streets from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m.

The city is warning residents not to be fooled by the warm weather.

“We know there are going to be mild temperatures this weekend so people aren’t going to necessarily be thinking about a snow ban on the street, but it will be in effect regardless of the weather,” said Anne Sheahan, Director of Public Affairs for the Department of Streets and Sanitation.

The winter ban continues through April 1.

Violators will have their car towed and be fined a minimum of $210.
