Six months out, the 2014 World Cup has already cost Brazil billions of dollars. Of the 12 stadiums hosting a World Cup match, half are reportedly behind schedule. Now, a court-ordered construction freeze and a worker’s strike are prolonging the delays. Six people have died from exhaustion or other work-related causes in preparation for the soccer matches.
