Chicago food truck owners could be allowed to cook on their trucks soon. Mayor Rahm Emanuel and aldermen said the change will allow a lot more entrepreneurs to enter the business and promote the city’s culinary scene.

After the mild winter some Illinois farmers thought this could be corn’s best year ever.  Now thanks to the severe drought — not so much.  Still, some corn farms are doing better than others, but water has little to do with it.

Then tonight, clear, lows in the lows to mid 60s, except in the upper 60s downtown. Northeast winds 10 to 15 miles per hour in the evening. Saturday, mostly sunny in the morning then becoming partly cloudy highs in the upper 80s, some light winds. Saturday night partly cloudy, lows in the lower 70s, south winds around 10 miles per hour. Sunday, partly cloudy, highs in the lower 90s, somewhat windy, but not like Friday - and then Sunday night partly cloudy lows in the mid 70s.
