Fourteen year-old Hannah Salwen noticed a homeless man in her neighborhood. At that same moment she watched a gleaming Mercedes drive by. She turned to her father and said “Dad, if that man had a less nice car, that man there could have a meal.”

That moment changed her family’s life. Eventually they decided to sell their big house and give half the money from the sale to the Hunger Project, fighting poverty in rural Ghana.
