Yesterday, in a shock announcement, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., Nikki Haley, announced her resignation. Since then, news and conjecture point to the announcement not being a surprise to many. Former colleague, and South Carolina Governor, Mark Sanford, speculated Haley may have resigned to get ahead of a corruption scandal involving personal travel with her husband, while she was on government business.
