November 9th, 2009 marks the 20th anniversary of the Berlin wall’s fall, which paved the way to Germany’s unification. In this lecture, German historian Anette Isaacs discusses events that led to the Berlin Wall’s rise on August 13th, 1961, and fall in 1989.
Anette Isaacs was born and raised in Germany and did her graduate work at Emory University in Georgia, the University of Vienna and the Free University in Berlin. She holds a master´s degree in American studies, political science and history. Ms. Isaacs lectures on various German historical, cultural, social and political topics.
