Conflict in Syria intensified on Wednesday, as hundreds of Syrians were killed in a gas attack launched near Damascus. The attack, opposition groups claim, was launched by the government—although the government denies claims. “Many of the casualties are women and children. They arrived with their pupil dilated, cold limbs and foam in their mouths. The doctors say these are typical symptoms of nerve gas victims,” Bayan Baker, a nurse in Syria, said in a recent interview with Reuters.
