Theresa May’s Last Bargaining Chip To Get Brexit Done? Her Career.
By Julian HaydaBritish Prime Minister Theresa May has promised Tory members of Parliament that she will resign her post if they back her Brexit deal. Following the United Kingdom’s departure from the European Union, the Conservative Party would then determine the timing of a contest for their party’s new leader. May’s bold offer comes after versions of her Brexit deal failed to pass on two separate occasions. Joining Worldview to discuss this new development in the Brexit saga is Brendan O’Leary, a professor of political science at the University of Pennsylvania. We also fielded questions from DePaul University students who are currently in Northern Ireland studying the effects of Brexit with economics professor Tom Mondschean. They answered our call-out for questions. You can join the conversation by asking a question here.
