Thousands Of CPS Elementary Students Return To In-Person Learning

Elementary students reported back to the classroom Monday for the first time since the district shut down in-person learning last March.

Chicago Public Schools welcomed back about 37,000 elementary students Monday. But only about 30 percent of eligible students opted in for a mix of in-person and remote learning, while the rest are staying fully remote.
