President Donald Trump has been a vocal opponent of NAFTA. He often claims it to be“the single worst trade deal” ever approved in American history. Now, it appears President Trump has finally reached a milestone in revising the treaty. Yesterday, the U.S. and Mexico made a tentative deal. Trump coins it the “U.S.-Mexico Trade Agreement”. This new trade pact would potentially boost car manufacturing, and create new jobs for each country’s economy. Trump threatened to impose tariffs on Canada if it doesn’t comply with the new terms of the deal. Canada says it will only sign the agreement if it is mutually beneficial.
