President Donald Trump met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Tuesday at the White House. The two discussed the logistics of fighting against ISIS.

President Trump was the first Western leader to congratulate Erdogan last month after he won a controversial referendum giving his office increased power.

Analysts like the Wilson Center’s Henri Barkey have said that the U.S. may be trying to appease Turkey, in hopes that Turkey will allow an alliance with Kurdish forces in the fight against ISIS in Raqqa.

Barkey joins Worldview in-studio to discuss the developments in the U.S.-Turkey relationship.
