Uganda faces cuts in international aid because of new law targeting gays and lesbians

This week the Ugandan president signed a bill which toughens penalties against gay people and defines some homosexual acts as crimes punishable by life in prison. Homosexual acts were already illegal in Uganda, but the new law bans the promotion of homosexuality and also covers lesbians.
