US-Iran relations posed for possible thaw
Following their speeches at the U.N. last week, U.S. President Barack Obama and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani spoke with each other over the phone closing the book on decades of silence. While no promises have been made, the two leaders seem to have opened the door to a new relationship and could soon come to terms on key issues involving Iran’s nuclear ambitions and economic sanctions.
