The Morning Shift sent three listeners to see Chiraq over the weekend with an eye on how it portrays Chicago and its problems with violence. Cyrus Dowlatshahi is a filmmaker from Hyde Park and he made a documentary about the South Side called Takin’ Place, which came out this year. Justin Morgan is an events coordinator who lives in Berwyn. And Judith Singleton, who checked in with us on Friday prior to seeing the film, is a Beverly resident who teaches anthropology at DePaul University.
