Chicago Public Schools agreed to federal oversight of its reforms in handling sexual abuse and assault cases. Police misconduct cases in the last 15 years cost the city more than $200 million in private lawyer fees alone. And Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s $3 million affordable housing plan hits a snag in City Council.
