Immigration is a serious topic for many, but great humor often comes out of great crisis. A new one-man show at the Annoyance Theatre & Bar blends comedy with tragedy as its subject, Rich Alfonso, reflects on his life and memories while isolated at an I.C.E. detention center. Written and performed by Alfonso and directed by Jonald Reyes, the show combines sketch comedy with monologues and dance to fast-forward through myriad scenes from Rich’s life. We’re joined by Alfonso and Reyes on today’s Weekend Passport, presented by our global citizen Nari Safavi. As always, he is on hand to with ideas to help you plan your international weekend!
