Javier Zamora is a Salvadoran poet and literary activist. He was born in La Herradura, El Salvador and immigrated to the United States at age nine. He is currently a Wallace Stegner Fellow in Poetry at Stanford University and was a 2016 Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellow with the Poetry Foundation; he is the first Central American to receive these fellowships.

Zamora recently published his first poetry collection Unaccompanied and is currently on a book tour. Find him at the Poetry Foundation on Thursday March 22, and at the Women & Children First bookstore in Andersonville on Friday March 23.
