What You Need To Know About The City Council Runoffs, Part 2
By Meha AhmadThe incoming City Council may be one of the more powerful ones Chicago has seen in years, as longtime aldermen and mayoral allies got voted out, and others struggle to hold onto their seats as they go head-to-head with challengers in runoff elections.
So far, 15 aldermanic races will be decided in the April 2nd runoff, and each Monday until then, Morning Shift is breaking them down. We’ve already covered the main takeaways out of Wards 15, 20, and 40.
Today we’ll turn our attention to Wards 6, 39, 46, and 47.
Morning Shift checks in with the Daily Line managing editor Heather Cherone and political reporter A.D. Quig, and Block Club Chicago reporter Alexander Hernandez.
