Pollinators perform a vital function in plant ecosystems, allowing flowering plants to reproduce. We come to you live from the Chicago Botanic Gardens in north-suburban Glencoe. As government officials consider rolling back parts of the Endangered Species Act, we’re going to hear about ways that nature can sometimes work on auto-pilot: by self-pollinating. Bees, bats, and butterflies make sure that plant life is robust, ensuring a circular ecosystem. We’ll hear about local and international efforts to keep pollinators pollinating.
