As I mentioned on Friday, Share Our Strength is gearing up for its annual fundraiser on Aug. 12 at the Aragon. It’s a food-lover’s dream. And we’ve got five pairs of tickets to give away this week - one pair each day. Just to refresh your memory, some of the big-time restaurants participating include:

Frontera Grill/Topolobampo/Xoco, The Purple Pig, L20, Blackbird, Avec, The Publican, Big Star, mk, Girl & the Goat, Urban Belly, Vie, Wave, Cibo Matto, Province, Graham Elliot, Sunda, Boka, Kith & Kin, Lula, Nightwood and Old Town Social.

There are also a handful of the city’s top mixologists, plus another 15 pastry chefs in a special “dessert lounge.” If you ever wanted to meet the people who make Chicago a vibrant food and drink community, this would be your chance.

Without the free tickets, here’s the situation:

General Admission: $95 in advance, $120 at the door 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.

VIP Admission: $150 in advance, $225 at the door 7:00 - 12:00 a.m. Includes free valet parking, VIP Goody bag, Access to the VIP lounge and the Chefs’ After Party.
