As the 2014 Indian elections get underway, deep religious and political polarization has added tensions at the polls. The results could have great implications for the US-India relationship. Muslims, Christians, and other minorities in India have voiced concerns about the future if BJP, the Hindu national party, gets an absolute majority of 272 seats.
