As the 2014 Indian elections get underway, deep religious and political polarization has added tensions at the polls. The results could have great implications for the US-India relationship. Muslims, Christians, and other minorities in India have voiced concerns about the future if BJP, the Hindu national party, gets an absolute majority of 272 seats. We’ll talk with John Dayal, a Christian and political activist in India. He’s co-founder and secretary general of the All India Christian Council. He’ll share his concerns for minorities in India.
